We are Room 6, an I Class at Carlton School, Wanganui. We have 14 girls and 12 boys in our classroom. Penny is our mascot who helps us live through the Habits of the Mind.

Handball
Room 6 has been learning about the sport of Handball as part of their P.E focus. We have been learning about the rules and today we learnt how to throw a handball correctly, this teaches us speed and accuracy. Watch the video!

Charith wins Gold for Sri Lanka
Charith has received the latest Gold Medal of the Room 6 Olympics. Charith won his medal for finding the most facts on Monkeys using the Internet. Sophie, Joshua O and Georgia also gained medals of varying colours in the same event.

A River of Gold flows at the Room 6 Olympics
Another two days of competition has heralded 3 more medals at the Carlton Olympics with Damien, Sophia and Kavindu all picking up Gold Medals.
Damien and Sophia achieved their Gold for choosing to set and complete some of their own homework on fractions and multiplication. Kavindu received his Gold Medal for achieving another writing level.
The games continue tomorrow.

Brierley Wins Gold
The Room 6 Olympics have started and the first medal of the games has gone to Brierley for achieving another writing level.
Brierley embodies Room 6's Term 3 motto of "No Reward without Effort."
